D-S Rescue was founded in 2010 out of a deep need to support neglected and abused horses throughout Arizona. With over 28 years of experience working with horses, our founder, Deanna Severance, saw firsthand the heartbreaking reality of horses suffering from neglect and abuse. Recognizing that there was a gap in resources to help these animals, she decided to create a safe haven where horses could receive the care and rehabilitation they desperately needed. From humble beginnings, we've grown into a vital resource for horses in distress, working closely with law enforcement to provide immediate care, as well as ongoing support for their physical and mental recovery.

Today, D-S Rescue is more than just a rescue organization—it's a community committed to making a difference. We focus on rehabilitating horses, providing them with proper veterinary care, nutrition, and emotional support, and helping them find loving, forever homes. We also give back to the community by offering educational services, including care classes and miniature horse visits to therapeutic facilities.
