Meet Our Horses

Please check our facebook for information on adoptability

Groot

The gentle giant who believes in taking life slow and steady. He’s the kind of horse who enjoys a good snack, a nice scratch behind the ears, and plenty of sunshine. If you ever need a buddy to relax with, Groot’s your guy!

Ronan

He's got that cool, rugged charm with a heart of gold. Don’t let his tough exterior fool you, though—he’s a big softie at heart, especially when it comes to carrots. Whether galloping or grazing, Ronan does everything with flair!

Griffin

Your adventurous spirit on four legs! Always curious, always ready to explore, he’s got a knack for finding trouble (and treats) wherever he goes. If you need a horse who’s always up for a new challenge, Griffin’s the one to watch!

Jewels

Jewels came to us as a senior with a very grim prognosis. Her lungs were so bad and she was severely under weight. She now has clear lungs and is gaining well!! We look forward to her finding her forever home once she's ready!

Maverick

A staple at D-S Rescue, almost a self-proclaimed mascot. Our first, last, and only sanctuary horse. We weren't ready to lose him, but we know he will be waiting for us at the rainbow bridge. We will all hold him in our hearts.
