Let me tell you about what we do!
D-S Rescue is primarily focused on providing care for horses in need. The rescue assists other animals at our location when necessary. Our goal is to provide a safe place for these animals and to get them the help they need, then re-homed to a loving forever home.
This is what happens when a horse comes to the rescue. Vet visit, Dental check, depending on what the Vet may say there may be Lab work done, x-rays done and supplements or medication ordered. Farrier services can include trimming, special pads, and shoes. The horses may need to have a special diet to make sure they regain their health as most horses that we see come in are neglected and very skinny.
The horses we get in have been seized by Law Enforcement or surrendered by owners for whatever reason at the time. (Neglect, abuse, no longer to care for).
